Hi,You may refer this. How to: Troubleshoot common Setup and Stop Errors during Windows 10 InstallationDisclaimer: Antivirus software helps protecting your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable/Uninstall your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other softwareandor troubleshoot any pertinent issue, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done.
If you are connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to malware attacks.Disclaimer: A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows. You may also troubleshoot or determine what conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot. You must log on to the computer as an administrator to be able to perform a clean boot. Your computer may temporarily lose some functionality when you performa clean boot. When you start the computer normally, the functionality returns. However, you may receive the original error message, or experience the original behavior if the problem still exists. If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settingsmay prevent you from following these steps.Once you perform clean boot do refer to the section “ How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting”to boot the computer in normal mode.Hope this information helps.

I hope you realize that this is a very loaded question.:-)However, I will tell you that beyond personal opinions and experiences, you really need to choose your top 3 or 5 choices and then run them in a test environment, emulating your work environment. What works great in my work environment may run like a fish out of water in your environment.Additionally, we run Grisoft AVG at work on our Desktops, in combination with several other security apps (e.g., Kaspersky, Spyware Blocker, Phish Blocker, etc.) running on our Untangle Gateway. At home, I also have a firewall and several layers of protection. All this to say, I believe my best advice to you is to not choose a single 'all-in-one' solution (e.g., firewall, antivirus, malware, slicer, dicer, juicer, etc. Be sure to mix 'n match solutions. Let's say you have an Internet Suite that covers everything.
If I disable it, I have full access to wreak havoc on your system. However, if you have multiple overlapping solutions, you'll still have a good amount of security in place.I hope this makes sense and I hope it helps! Seems like quite a few AV companies are getting into the habit of making REMOVAL tools, because the builtin uninstaller does not do its job. Symantec, AVG, amongst others, at least they are providing one.I am using SOPHOS and moved from AVG, i tried the builtin Sophos tool, worked on some and did not work on others. The issue was saving or deleting the settings.
Deleting them worked, saving them would not allow an install, not sure why.But i have had bad luck trying to find the right tool off of both AVG and Symantecs site to get rid of some OEM AV software. Hello,I have Symantec EndPoint Protection version 12.1.1000.157 and consistently get the error firewall driver not loaded.
I have uninstalled SEP followed every thing I have seen on how to fix this issue but nothing has worked. Now I hear about this CleanWipe utility that I must open a ticket or report to get. If this is a utility that can totally remove this product clean as if it never existed on my machine I think it should be available to download. So does anyone including someone from Symantec tell me what the solution to this problem is.
